That’s right. The good people over at Human Utility are sick of the shit and figured out a way for anyone with a little extra to give (and I do mean little, smallest donation can be $5) to help a family, elderly person or someone in need pay for something that should honestly be given free of charge in this land of milk and honey, water. Last year the city of Detroit resumed its practice of shutting off water to residents unable to pay their water bill. In case you missed it, Detroit was labeled the poorest big city in the U.S. in 2015 and it was recently reported that the poverty level among Michigan’s children is higher now than it was during the recession in 2008. Head over to the Human Utility website for more information and if you can, consider helping out someone in need of this basic necessity.
I took a much needed vacation to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and I even succeeded in not turning my entire trip into a full on photography assignment! I decided to take one camera (my camera “B” aka Nina) and one lens (Canon 50mm f 1.8). While I did get to spend days on the beach soaking up the sun, explore the island and R-E-L-A-X, I also spent an entire day in Old San Juan snapping away. Puerto Rico is a beautiful island filled with rich culture, delicious cuisine and beautiful (and colorful) architecture. Check out the photos below!
YAAASSSSSSSSS! The Supreme Court rules in favor of marriage equality across all states in the US! Just in time for Pride this weekend here in NYC. I fully support LOVE. I don’t believe the energy that is love sees sexual orientation, just love. Love is LOVE! This is a great step forward for our nation and I’m excited that there are at least a few folk in the Supreme Court that also believe in love. Happy Pride!
